As the legal Employer of Record, Synergy customizes the entire payroll and administration process from employee enrollment through invoicing and collections. In addition, Synergy offers 24/7 customer service, manages Workers' Compensation and unemployment claims and assumes responsibility for any audits and reporting required by federal and state officials. Synergy's payroll and administration services are designed to create a seamless back-office function for minimizing the financial and administrative responsibilities of our staffing and recruiting partners.

Employer of Record Services

• Registration: Synergy completes all registration materials and fees in order to do business in each state.
• Business insurances: as Employer of Record, Synergy maintains several business insurances including:

• Enrollment and Employee Handbook: Synergy developed a customized enrollment process based on the needs of our customers and manages the entire process on behalf of our customers. Standard forms include:

• Background checks: as a part of the standard enrollment process, Synergy performs background checks and social security verifications on behalf of its customers. In addition, Synergy will perform additional pre-employment testing such as drug tests and employment/degree verification.
• Claims management: Synergy handles all unemployment claims and liabilities as well as workers compensation.

Payroll Administration

• Payroll processing: Synergy performs bi-weekly payroll processing for contract workers.
• Payroll taxes and deductions: automatic tax deductions by work state, unemployment and workers compensation deductions and benefits deductions.
• Unemployment and workers compensation: Synergy deducts and pays insurances, manages claims and assumes liabilities for unemployment and workers compensation.
• Timesheet management: Synergy manages the timesheet process to ensure timesheets are in on time in order to process payroll.
• Billing and collectibles: Synergy manages the billing and collections process on behalf of its customers including manual or electronic format.
• Direct deposit: as a part of the enrollment process Synergy supports and encourages direct deposit of payments to workers.
• Audits and reporting: Synergy performs all audits and reporting on behalf of our customers.
• Year end reconciliation: Synergy manages the year end reconciliation of W-2 forms and inquiries.

Payroll Funding

• Float / payroll funding: Synergy maintains payroll float of payroll funds between the time the contractor receives payment and the time which the bills are paid by the customer for W-2 contractors.
