IC Solutions
Synergy offers a variety of support services to independent contractors (ICs) who have been properly classified through Synergy Compliance Services based on individual contractor needs. We evaluate each IC situation to determine the best fit solution for each contractor because we recognize that not one size fits all. Once properly vetted, we determine the "best fit" solution for contractors based on some of the following criteria:
- Are they transitional or career ICs?
- Do they have their own business structure or do they wish to form their own business?
- Do they have the appropriate business insurances?
- Do they need health and welfare benefits?
- Do they require tax and billing support?
- Do they desire additional administrative support including legal, IT and human resources?
IC Service Offerings
Because we realize that not all ICs have the same requirements, we offer a variety of options based on the needs of the contractor.
Vendor Status LLC Option for Executives, Consultants and Freelancers
The LLC option is for the contractor who wants to "be their own" boss and has chosen free agency as a career. This option is for executives, consultants, and freelancers who are truly independent and work for several clients at one time. These individuals want the enterprise infrastructure combined with the tax benefits and freedom of self-employment. Additional support services available in this option include:
- Human resources and benefits administration
- Business insurances
- Legal support including business formation
- Tax accounting services
- Billing and collections
- Information technology
- Community network technology (see Synergy Online - The Zone)
W-2 Option for Transitional or Temporary Workers
The W-2 option is typically for transitional ICs who enjoy the simplicity of being an employee and are willing to assume the additional costs and associated benefits that come with unemployment insurance and workers compensation. These individuals also prefer a more robust insurance package for business insurances as well as health and welfare benefits than they could procure on their own. These individuals are typically transitional in nature and prefer to re-enter the traditional workforce at some point in the future seamlessly. Additional support services available in this option include:
- Human resources and benefits administration
- Comprehensive business insurances
- Payroll processing and year end W-2
- Comprehensive health and welfare benefits:
